Marketing & Communications Employee

We are currently seeking a Marketing & Communications Employee reporting to the Senior Marketing & Graphic Design Lead for a
6 month full-time role.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns
• Assisting with branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
• Assist in the development of social media strategies & management of the company’s social media presence across various platforms (LinkedIn, Youtube, etc).
• Create social posts for LinkedIn for the team
• Coordinating marketing strategies with the Business Development / Sales team
• Maintain marketing plans and calendars, including communications such as emails, advertising, and media.
• Design and create visually appealing, print ready graphics for use on various marketing materials
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations with the creative team
• Help distribute marketing materials and prepare marketing packages for internal customers
• Photography and Video for various uses includes: interviews, tours etc
• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
• Help support marketing events & facility tours
• Ensure the entire organization follows branding guidelines
• Keeping informed of marketing strategies and trends.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Strong attention to detail
• Photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills experience an asset
• Organized and able to hit deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Willing to negotiate with suppliers via phone & email
• Able to coordinate multiple projects/events at the same time and solve problems as they arise
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• WordPress skills are an asset
• Reliable transportation
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Adobe Creative Cloud experience is an asset. (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) in-house training as required
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Desire to work in an innovative, fast past, changing environment
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Must be flexible and open to change.
• You must be available and willing to participate in any required training.
